Letters from the Womb Cave: June

This month my bleed was five days late. The only other time this has happened to me (since starting Womb healing) I had traveled a lot, probably not eaten enough, and it was pretty logical why my bleed was a few days late.

Since I teach menstrual magick and womb awakening having something “wrong” with my period makes me feel very imposter-y. Like if I am having a “problem” around my period, how can I help others with their periods? Of course this is a little silly, because really womb healing and feminine embodiment is about using tools to help us connect to our bodies and to understand what’s going on in our bodies. I wanted to know why my period was so late, why the energy of my womb felt so stuck. So I tuned into my womb and my highest self and I realized why this was happening to me.

In so many places in my life I have been waiting, purposely holding myself back. I’ve been waiting to take action on business. I’ve been waiting to take action in my romantic life. I’ve been waiting to speak my truth. I’ve been waiting to take the next step. I’ve been waiting, waiting, waiting. So what did my womb do? She waited to bleed. I could feel her full and ready to let go five days before she actually started releasing. I was so uncomfortable. And then so happy when I finally saw blood.

What goes on in your external world will manifest in your womb.

This experience reiterated to me this knowledge that what goes on in your external world will manifest in your womb, what goes on in your womb will manifest in your external world. When you flow, your womb will flow. When you resist, your womb will resist. Living a life that’s in alignment with your truth will be in alignment with your menstrual cycle because your womb is the truth of your body.

Even when we feel like our wombs are awakened and healed, there is always another layer to unfold.

For a while, I’ve felt very connected to my womb. I know what her voice sounds like, I know what her YES feels like, I know how to feel into what phase she’s in, I know how to make decisions based on what she needs. This knowing has become almost automatic. Something I do on auto-pilot. I am so grateful for this AND this experience made me realize that I’ve been taking my connection with my womb for granted. The lateness of my period signaled to me that my womb is ready for a deeper level of connection, a deeper level of awakening. My womb is calling for more conscious connection, more sacredness, more ceremony. Though our wombs will communicate with us no matter what, it’s still important to cultivate time to really sit and be present with her. Even when we feel like she’s “awakened” and “healed” there’s always another layer to unfold.

The following questions and prompts are things I am reflecting on as I close the menstrual (inner winter) phase of my cycle and begin to move into my inner spring.

Womb Questions

Place your hands on your womb space and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths down into your womb space. Notice how your womb is feeling today. When you feel ready, ask your womb these questions.

  1. What do you need right now?

  2. How do you feel about our relationship?

  3. How do you feel about our relationship?

  4. Is there anything I can do to support you?

Journaling Prompts

After you ask your womb those questions, take sometime to reflect and write down what you learned. Or reflect on the following prompts.

  1. How do you connect to your womb in your everyday life?

  2. How does it feel to connect to your womb? Is it easy? Do you have any practices around it?

If you have any questions or if these questions/prompts allowed you to receive new information, I would love to hear from you! You can contact me here or message me on Insta.

Sending lots of love,

Morgan xx
